An Introduction to Bookmaking, Class Instruction for Intermedia

Each semester, I teach an intro to InDesign class for Intermedia students at UNLV as they create a portfolio book of their semester’s work. As part of my instruction, I’ve started making my own books to challenge them to use their book to tell a well-paced story.

After the success of my Hugh Jackman book, I decided to go a little bit more conceptual.

Terry Crews is an amazing person and a testament to humanity’s capacity for greatness. This book was designed to be folded and read in landscape orientation, as well as to stand up as a tent when placed on a table, as if held up by the subjet’s own strength.
